Eric Cantona landed four tries and several conversions as Kabras RFC bagged a 74-10 win of the season in aKenya Cup encounter played at Mamboleo Stadium on Saturday.
Patrick Lumumba opened the scoring after he collected an offload off Walter Okoth to dive and score at the corner. Erick Cantona failed to beat the angle , as his conversion sailed wide.
Kabras RFC final conceded
Kisumu RFC responded almost immediately after Godfrey Namayan spotted a gap at Kabras defence, his feet too quick for Kabras defenders as he raced to score down the post becoming the first player to score against Kabras RFC this season. Washington Ochieng added the extras as Kisumu took charge of the game, scores reading 7-5.
Kabras would however reclaim the lead minutes later, with two quick tries from Erick Cantona. He however missed both conversions as Kabras started stretching their lead, the scores reading 15-7.
Jeanson Misoga would get Kabras’ bonus point try minutes later, diving over at the back of a rolling maul following a lineout, scored his first try of the game. Again, Erick Cantona missed the conversion as Kabras took a commanding 20-7 lead.
Kabras continued piling more pressure to Kisumu RFC and once again, in almost similar fashion to their earlier try, Patrick Lumumba entered the score sheet from the back of a maul to score. Erick Cantona this time was sure with the boots, as he converted the try for a 27-7 Kabras lead.
Mathias Osimbo would enter the score sheet minutes later, as he outpaced Kisumu’s defence to score at the corner. The angle difficulty was a no issue for Cantona this time, as he converted to send the scores to 34-7.

Kisumu would however the last say of the first half, as Walter Ambe drilled in a penalty, the scores now reading 34-10 at halftime.
Erick Cantona grabbed his hatrick try of the match just few minutes after second half started, when he once again outpaced his markers to race and score. He converted his own try sending the scores to 41-10.
The game would be put on hold shortly after, as medics attended to Roy Maruti who appeared to have incurred a concussion. He was stretched off the field, Sam Omollo replacing him.
Patrick Lumumba would also get his hattrick minutes later, after his powerful pick and carry was too strong to handle for Kisumu’s defence, as crossed over the whitewash. Erick Cantona added the extras for a for a 48-10 lead.
Youngster Brian Kiptanui and Mathias would pile more misery to Kisumu as they scored back-to-back tries for the millers. Cantona converted Kiptanuis try but failed to convert Osimbo’s try, as Kabras jumped to a 60-10 lead.
It was raining tries at Mamboleo,as Kabras scored another two quick tries from William Mwanji and Erick Cantona, who was registering his fourth try of the game. Erick Cantona would convert both tries, as the scores read 74-10, Kabras going on to win.
