Kenya Lionesses announce matchday squad for Elgon Cup test

Kenya Lionesses have announced the squad to clash with Uganda Lady Cranes in Elgon Cup Tournament on 11th November 2023, at Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Mamboleo.

Diana Omosso will start at the full-back partnering with Christabel Lindo on the right wing and Sharon Auma on the left wing.

Lionesses’ centre pairing has Stella Wafula and Maureen Muritu while Judith Okumu the Scrum-half and Ann Goretti at fly-half form the halfback pairing.

The front row has prop Everlyne Kalemera and Natasha Email who are joined by hooker Knight Otwoma.

Maureen Chebet will be the number 4 lock working hand-in-hand with Faith Livoi the number 5 lock.

Enid Ouma the squad’s captain will be the blindside flanker while the openside will have Diana Kemunto in the back three with Phoebe Akinyi at number 8.

Naomi Muhanji, Janet Chanya , Rose Otieno , Naomi Jelagat, Naomi Amuguni, Edith Nariaka,Terry Ayesa and Dorcas Mokaya make Lionesse reserved bench.

The match comes after Lionesses featured in WXV 15s in Dubai where they bagged one win in the competition.
