Kabras RFC winger Lamec Ambetsa was crowned the Most Valuable Player in the Prinsloo 7s played at Nakuru Athletic Club.

The winger landed four tries for Kabras in the run-up to the final and helped the side win the second consecutive Cup title this season.

Since joining Kabras in December 2022, the former Bungoma High School man has tasted just two defeats and has won the Kenya Cup, Enterprise Cup, Driftwood and now Prinsloo 7s.

Ambetsa was part of the Kabras squad that beat Kenya Harlequin 10-5 to win the first-ever Prinsloo 7s title.

His former teammate Paywick Munoko walked away with two trophies. He picked the top points scorer award following 35 points and the top try scorer award following seven tries.

Nakuru RFC’s James Macharia was awarded as the most promising player.
