Jacob Ojee Attains World Rugby Level 2 Coaching Accreditation in 15s

Former Kenya Shujaa and Kenya Simbas star Jacob Ojee has earned his World Rugby Level 2 Coaching Accreditation in the 15s game, marking another significant milestone as he transitions into coaching.

The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) announced Ojee’s achievement and congratulated the former international on reaching the next stage of his coaching journey.

“Congratulations to former Kenya Shujaa and Kenya Simbas mercurial backline player Jacob Ojee on attaining his World Rugby Level 2 15s coaching accreditation. Wishing you the very best as you transition into coaching, Ojee!” the union posted.

Ojee, who has recently been serving as the KCB Rugby Club backs coach, enjoyed an illustrious playing career for both Kenya Shujaa and Kenya Simbas.

Renowned for his blistering pace, agility, and attacking flair, Ojee was a key figure in the Kenya Shujaa setup, where his speed and creativity made him one of the team’s most dangerous backs. In the 15s game, Ojee represented the Kenya Simbas, where he played a vital role in the backline and earned a reputation as one of the country’s fastest and most exciting players.

At club level, Ojee enjoyed a successful career with KCB Rugby Club, helping the Bankers win several major trophies before retiring from playing. His transition into coaching has seen him continue to contribute to the growth of Kenyan rugby, and attaining the World Rugby Level 2 Coaching Accreditation is another important step in his development as a coach.
