Kenya Harlequin FC have unveiled their 13-man squad for the 2026 Prinsloo 7s to represent the club at the season-opening National 7s Circuit tournament in Nakuru.

Leading the side is David Mwangi, who has been named captain, while Patrick Wainaina will serve as the vice-captain as Quins look to reclaim the title they last won in 2024.

One of the standout inclusions is KSSSA 15s Championship Most Valuable Player Shakur Nyongesa, who has earned his place in the squad following an outstanding school rugby campaign.

The Upper Hill School student is set to make his senior sevens debut for Harlequin FC and will be among the players to watch at the tournament.

Nyongesa, a brother to Faran Juma is one of four debutants named in the squad. He is joined by Lawrence Ndungu, who impressed with Kabete Stallions, former Menengai Oilers utility back Davis Otundo, and former South Coast Pirates speedster Brighton Omondi, all of whom will be making their first appearances for Quins in the National Sevens Circuit.

Harlequin have also retained the core of the side that lifted the 2024 National Sevens Circuit title. David Mwangi, Albert Alela, Patrick Wainaina, and Michael Ochieng return to the squad, bringing valuable experience and a winning mentality as the club targets another successful campaign.
