The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has unveiled the women’s pool allocations for the upcoming Prinsloo 7s.
The tournament will be held on July 25–26 at the Nakuru Athletic Club (NAC) Grounds, where eight teams will battle for top honours.
Defending Kenya Cup women’s champions Mwamba RFC headline Pool A, alongside Impala RFC, NYS Ladies, and Jackals Women in what promises to be a highly competitive group.

Pool B features Northern Suburbs, Kenya Harlequin, Kiaamba Ladies, and Pioneer Ladies, with each side aiming to secure a strong finish ahead of the knockout rounds.
A notable change to this year’s competition format is that all eight teams will advance to the quarter-finals. However, performances during the pool stage will be crucial, as the final standings will determine the quarter-final matchups. Teams that finish higher in their respective pools will earn more favourable knockout fixtures, rewarding consistency and strong performances in the opening stage.
