Uganda Rugby Premiership champions Pirates RFC, losing finalists Buffaloes, Victoria Sharks, KCB Kobs and several other clubs have strengthened their squads following the conclusion of the Uganda Rugby Union’s mid-season transfer window ahead of the second half of the 2026 campaign.

The transfer period saw a flurry of activity across both the men’s and women’s leagues, with reigning champions Pirates making a targeted addition while Storm RFC emerged as the busiest club in the market.

Pirates completed the signing of Nicholas Kato from rivals Heathens, adding experience to their title defence as they prepare for the decisive stages of the season.

Last season’s runners-up Buffaloes opted for temporary reinforcements, bringing in Ivan Rackara and Marvin Agaba on loan from Warriors to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Victoria Sharks also had an active window, signing Gabriel Sean Okweda from Buffaloes, Robin Ondura from Mongers and James Ssemanda from Rams as they look to climb the standings.

Kobs added Jojo Blair Kaboyo from Beijing Aardvarks, while Mongers strengthened with the acquisition of Shafik Ngobi from Entebbe Jaguars.
