Odhiambo first made his name at Hippos RFC, where he enjoyed an impressive spell that saw him emerge as the league’s top scorer before earning a move to Kobs RFC.
His stint at Kobs lasted one year and six months. During that period, the club reached the quarter-finals of the Uganda Rugby Premiership playoffs before suffering elimination at the hands of Impis.

Beyond club rugby, Odhiambo has also represented the Uganda Emerging Sevens side, featuring at the 2025 Safari Sevens tournament as he continued to establish himself as one of the region’s exciting back-row talents.
In addition to Odhiambo, Heathens have also reinforced their backline with the signing of fly-half Gift Lukyamuzi from Kakira Simba RFC.
Announcing the move, the club said:
“Welcome to the Mighty Heathens, Gift. We’re delighted to welcome Gift Lukyamuzi from Kakira Simba RFC. A talented Fly Half, ready to blend in the Yellow Machine camp. Welcome to the family.”
The double signing underlines Heathens’ intent to bolster their squad ahead of the new Uganda Rugby Premiership season as they seek to remain among the country’s top contenders.
