Zetech Oaks head coach Ramseyfield Matekwa has attained his World Rugby Level 2 Coaching Accreditation in the 15s game.
Matekwa becomes the third Kenyan coach this week to earn the Level 2 qualification, as confirmed by the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU).
In a statement shared on Friday, the union said:
“Congratulations to Ramseyfield Matekwa on your World Rugby Level 2 15s coaching accreditation. This comes less than a year after earning his Level 2 Sevens coaching accreditation in August last year. Hongera, Coach Remy!”
Matekwa previously attained his World Rugby Level 2 Sevens Coaching Accreditation in August 2025, adding another significant qualification to his coaching portfolio.
He is currently the head coach of Kenya Rugby Championship side Zetech Oaks. Before joining the Oaks, Matekwa coached Mean Machine, guiding the former Kenya Cup side in both the Kenya Cup and the KRU Championship.
His latest achievement comes in the same week that former Kenya Simbas internationals Brian Nyikuli and Geoffrey Ominde also earned their World Rugby Level 2 15s Coaching Accreditation, highlighting a positive step in the development of Kenyan rugby coaches.
