Kabras sugar and Menengai Oilers remain the only sides to pick maximum points after week five of the 2025/2026 kenya cup season, as the title race begins to take early shape at the summit.
The defending champions kabras sugar stayed top of the standings with a perfect return of 25 points from five matches, continuing to underline their dominance both in attack and defence. With an imposing points difference of +366, kabras have once again set the pace as they chase yet another Kenya Cup crown.

Hot on their heels are Menengai Oilers, who matched Kabras stride for stride to also remain unbeaten after five rounds. The Nakuru-based side sit second, level on points with Kabras but marginally behind on points difference.
KCB rugby, however, lost ground at the top after failing to secure a bonus point against Kenya Harlequin. Although the bankers remain unbeaten with five wins from five, the missed bonus means they drop a point behind the leading duo on 24 points. That single point could prove costly later in the campaign, especially with kabras and Oilers showing no signs of slowing down.
KU Blak Blad continue to impress in fourth place with four wins from five outings. Their aggressive brand of rugby has kept them firmly in the playoff conversation, while Nondescript RFC sit fifth, struggling for consistency despite showing flashes of brilliance.

In mid-table, Strathmore leos and Kenya harlequin have identical win-loss records, but contrasting fortunes in points difference. The leos’ heavy defeats earlier in the season have hurt their standing, while harlequin remain just outside the top half and will be eager to build momentum after pushing KCB hard.
Further down the table, Nakuru RFC and I mpala rfc remain locked on six points, both enduring difficult starts to the campaign. Impala’s negative points difference highlights their defensive struggles, leaving them hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Daystar falcons and MMUST finally found some relief after registering their first wins of the season. For MMUST, the victory was a much-needed boost after a run of defeats, offering hope of a turnaround as the season progresses.
At the foot of the table, kisumu rfc remain winless after five matches, managing just a single point so far. With four losses and a worrying points difference, Kisumu are under early pressure and will need a swift response to keep their Kenya cup survival hopes alive.
