KCB Rugby delivered a commanding performance to brush aside Wanyore with a convincing 41–19 win in an entertaining encounter that saw the bankers grow in authority as the game progressed.
Wanyore struck first through the boot of Javan Otieno, who slotted an opening penalty three minutes into the match to give his side a 3–0 lead. KCB responded six minutes later when Elvis Namusasi crossed the whitewash, with Levy Amunga converting to swing the scores to 7–3 in favour of the visitors.

Otieno kept Wanyore in the contest with two successive penalties, reclaiming the lead at 9–7. However, KCB regained control after 22 minutes when Bramwel Kilwake powered over for a try to hand the bankers a 12–9 advantage.
With KCB temporarily reduced to 14 men, Otieno once again made his presence felt, landing another penalty to level matters at 12–12. KCB, though, finished the first half strongly as John Awani dotted down for the third try of the contest. Amunga added the extras to give KCB a 19–12 cushion at the break.

The second half tilted firmly in KCB’s favour after Wanyore were dealt a blow with Kevin Kioko being shown a yellow card. Making their numerical advantage count, KCB struck just two minutes after the restart through Kilwake, who completed his brace before Amunga converted for a 26–12 lead.
Austin Sikutwa then added another try to stretch the margin to 31–12. Wanyore showed some fight when Bonventure Opande crossed for their first try of the match, which Otieno converted to reduce the deficit to 31–19.
Any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished as Dominic Sande came off the bench to score, with Amunga once again accurate from the tee. Andycole Omolo then put the finishing touches on a dominant display, landing the final try to seal a comprehensive 41–19 victory for KCB Rugby.
