This triumph propelled the Cheetahs to eight points, firmly establishing them as the leaders in the standings. Meanwhile, the Lions managed to salvage a losing bonus point, bringing their total to six points after accruing five points in the previous weekend’s fixtures.

The Buffaloes maintained their grip on the third position following their first win against the Rhinos. A hard-fought 27-21 victory earned them four points, while the Rhinos managed to secure a consolation point through a losing bonus.
