Kenya Cup leading scorers after 8 rounds

After eight rounds of the Kenya Cup campaign, Derrick Ashihundu remains the leading try scorer in the 2023/24 season.

Returning to the starting lineup for Kabras last weekend against Kenya Harlequin after missing the previous two matches, Ashihundu notched his 11th try in their commanding 50-22 victory over Quins.

Beldad Ogeta maintains his position with 10 tries despite missing action against Nondies last weekend. Meanwhile, Kabras duo Brian Juma and Lamec Ambetsa have each moved up to eight tries after their stellar performances against Quins.

Ambetsa found the scoresheet again after missing out against Nakuru RFC, while Juma continued his impressive streak by scoring in every match he has played in 2024.

On the points scoring charts, Ntabeni Dukisa retains the top spot with 80 points from eight matches, primarily from conversions.

Catholic Monks fly-half follows closely with 62 points, showcasing his impressive performance off the boot in eight matches.

Also featuring in the top five is fly-half Cornelius Mokoro with 57 points in eight matches. Ashihundu’s 11 tries have earned him 55 points, closely followed by Beldad Ogeta with 50 points from his 10 tries.
