South Coast Pirates have earned the second walkover of the season in the 2023/24 KRU Championship

Pirates on Friday announced that their match against JKUAT Cougars would not be taking place as scheduled. As a results they have earned five more points and a 28-0 victory in their comfort.

The match was to take place on KRU Championship match day 3 on 16 December 2023 but was moved to January.

“Unfortunately, our rescheduled match day three of the 2023/24 KRU Championship season against JKUAT Cougars, which was set for this Saturday, January 6th, has resulted in a walkover in favor of Pirates. Despite our eagerness to hit the field, circumstances beyond our control led to this decision,” Pirates said in a statement.
“We have been awarded a 28-0 score and 5 points. We appreciate your unwavering support. Stay tuned for more updates and let’s continue to rally behind our team,” the statement concluded.

The positive deviation in their points has enabled Pirates to move to second place on the log with the same points as Falcons from the third position where they sat with a point difference of positive 49.

JKUAT Cougars have been deducted two points as a results
