Varsity League standings after round 1

The Varsity League 2023 kicked off last weekend with Pool D and B matches kicking off at Jomo Kenyatta University Grounds.

In Pool D, the Technical University of Mombasa are on top of the log with 5 points and they enjoy a superior points difference of 28 after playing their first-round match after a 33-5 win in their opener.

The University of Nairobi are placed second on the log with the same points as TUM but with a point difference of 24.

Cooperative University are the third in the log and the last team in the Pool is Multimedia University who have no points after round one.

EDITOR’S PICKS 

Group B has JKUAT on the top of the log with 5 points and have a superior points differential of 24, unlike KCA University who are the next in the log with the same points but have a point differential of 22.

Meru are placed third on the log after their first-round match with no point same as the bottom on the log, Dedan Kimathi University.

Group A features, Maseno University, University of Eldoret, Moi University and Kisii University teams that have not played any round in the Varsity League 2023 same as the group C teams which are Kabarak University, Egerton University, TUK and CUEA.
