Uganda effect 4 changes for Kenya Simbas date in Elgon Cup

Uganda Cranes have made four changes to the starting squad ahead of the Elgon Cup return leg against Kenya Simbas scheduled for Saturday at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium.

Santos Ssenteza, Faraji Odugo and Asuman Mugerwa lead the pack once again in the front row.  Robert Aziku comes in as a replacement for Eliphaz Emong and will partner with Charles Uhuru.

Byron Oketayot has retained his slot on the left flank while Moses Zziwa and  Sydney Gongodyo are on the left flank and eighth-man respectively.  The half-back pairing has been retained with Vice Captain Conrad Wanyama and Captain Ivan Magomu keeping their places.

Al Haji Manano and Shakim Sembusi have been named on the wings replacing Jacob Ocen and Joseph Oyet. Eric Mulamula’s place has been taken up by Innocent Gwotko with Michael Wokorach retaining his outside centre role.

Timothy Kisiga retains his place at fullback. Collins Kimbowa, Julius Opio, and Joseph Aredo have been brought in on the bench.

Uganda beat Kenya Simbas 21-20 in the first leg, winning the Victoria Cup. The Ugandans will be seeking to rekindle the 2019 memories when they beat Kenya 16-13.
