Kabras RFC change 13 for Lake Victoria 15s final against MMUST

Kabras RFC have made 13 changes to the squad that will face MMUST Rugby in the Lake Victoria 15s final on Saturday at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium Kisumu at 10:00 am.

The front row is completely changed with Steve Oluoch dropping to the bench, Eugene Sifuna out with the National team and Darrell Ogot dropping to the bench.

The coaches have brought in newly signed Gabriel Adero from Strathmore Leos, and Mike Mare (Nakuru) to start as props while Gibson Perez is back as the hooker.

Former Menengai Oilers lock Andrew Wangila comes in the second row to partner with David Bunduki while Clinton Litali has dropped to the bench.  The back row is fully changed with Fortune Aturo, Jacton Osoo and Biden Hayo being replaced by Thomas Simiyu, Collins Indeche and Patrick Lumumba.

Warren Kamadi and Eric Cantona have paved the way for Felix Bukhutse and Valerian Tendwa. Humprey Asiligwa replaced Isaiah Mulongo on the left wing, and Griffin Chao starts on the right side, being his 15s maiden start as he replaces Duncan Shighali.

Hillary Salano and Mathias Osimbo come in the midfield replacing Victor Otieno and Brian Kiptanui. Flavian Otiyo retains his slot as the fullback.

In the previous edition, Kabras narrowly triumphed over MMUST, securing a 17-13 victory at the Kakamega Showground and claiming the inaugural championship.

To reach this year’s final, Kabras displayed their dominance by defeating Sigalagala with a score of 43-12, earning their place in the 2023 Victoria Cup finals.
