Former Kabras coach Du Plessis to work with Kenya Harlequin

Former tactician of Kabras RFC Henly Du Plessis is back in Kenya to conduct a four-week training program with Kenya Cup team Kenya Harlequin.

Publications theDaily Nation and the Star report that his return follows a collaboration, facilitated by a partnership between Quins and the Toyota Free State Cheetahs in the South African Currie Cup, which aims to enhance the capabilities of Kenya Harlequin’s coaching staff, physiotherapists, analysts, and team operation managers through knowledge-sharing with the South African franchise.

Henley Du Plessis, who currently serves as the Under-20 Head Coach at the Cheetahs, will play a crucial role in preparing Kenya Harlequin for the upcoming season as they strive to end their 11-year wait for the Kenya Cup.

Du Plessis expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Kenya, highlighting the Free State Cheetahs’ commitment to giving back to the community and promoting rugby inclusivity for women and children.

Victor Sudi, the chairman of Kenya Harlequin, expressed his hopes that the partnership would bring significant benefits to their technical bench, emphasizing the importance of diversification in their strategic plan.
