Kenya Lionesses squad for WXV 3 Dubai

The technical bench of Kenya Lionesses has unveiled the squad that will represent the nation in the upcoming WXV 3 competition set to take place in Dubai from October 13 to 28.

Enid Ouma has been named as the team captain, leading a formidable lineup that includes players such as Mercy Migongo, Grace Okulu, Ann Goretti, Everlyne Kalemera, Knight Otwoma, Rose Otieno, and Diana Kemunto.

Additionally, Faith Livoi, Diana Omoso, and Naomi Muhanji, who made their debut in South Africa, have earned their place in the squad.

The team retains a core of players who had participated in the South Africa tournament, ensuring a blend of experience and fresh talent for the upcoming competition.

Dubai’s renowned The Sevens Stadium has been selected as the venue for WXV 3. The tournament’s match days will mirror those of WXV 2, with fixtures scheduled across October.

The competition kicks off with an exciting double-header in Dubai, featuring Fiji against Colombia and Ireland facing Kazakhstan on Friday, October 13. The following day will witness a clash between the European qualifier Spain and Kenya.

The final weekend of the tournament begins on Friday, October 27, with Kazakhstan taking on Fiji, and Kenya competing against Colombia’s Las Tucanes. The concluding match of WXV 3 will see Ireland squaring off against Spain the next day.
