Kenya 7s star Billy Odhiambo has one of his tries ranked among the best seven tries of the weekend during the Cape Town 7s .
Odhiambo scored the lone try in Kenya 7s’ 31-5 loss to New Zealand in Saturday’s group stage match. Odhiambo picked the ball from a ruck after spotting a gap on the outside, fended off Joe Webber twice before racing clear for a five-pointer from Shujaa.

The Mwamba rugby club back has now scored seven tries for Kenya 7s this season, bringing his total for Kenya to 108 tries in 283 World 7s Series matches.
The former Maseno School player scored his 100th try for Kenya 7s in August, when they defeated England 19-14 in Los Angeles. He was the fourth Kenyan to reach the milestone, following Collins Injera, Humphrey Kayange, and Willy Ambaka.
Other tries in the top seven include Jacob Ocen’s solo effort try against the USA, Waisea Nacuqu’s against France, Ryan Oosthuizen against Canada, Ricardo Duarttee against Great Britain, Faafoi Falaniko’s kick that sent Samoa past South Africa in the semis, and Vaa Apelu Maliko’s Cape Town 7s winning try.
