Kenya Cup heavyweights Kabras Sugar have added three players to their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, while KRU Championship side MMUST have emerged as one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window after recruiting 11 new players.
The sugarmen have strengthened key areas of their squad with the arrival of prop Caleb Owino from MMUST and Mike Ochieng from Kisii RFC.
They have also brought in former Strathmore Leos and Nondies player Philemon Olang a flanker also known as Chinese through the New Player Registration (NPR) category.
The departures of Owino from MMUST and Ochieng from Kisii RFC mark important acquisitions for the Kenya Cup giants, who continue to fine-tune their squad ahead of the new season.

Meanwhile, MMUST have responded with an extensive recruitment exercise as they prepare for life in the KRU Championship. The Kakamega-based university side has registered 11 new players, the highest number among the latest confirmed transfers.
Joining the club through the New Player Registration category are Joseph Idovolwa, Frank Geofrey, Gerald Simiyu, Jackson Chimasio, Longolo Neema Providence, Ronney Kelly Katata, Jean Wafula Wanjala, Samwel P. Korir, Yuri Mutsami, Reuben Simiyu, and Brian Moruri.
MMUST will be hoping the influx of fresh talent strengthens their squad as they push for a competitive campaign in the Championship and position themselves as promotion contenders.
