Kenya 7s quartet named in KCB Rugby squad for Kenya Cup semi vs Nondies

Kenya 7s quartet led by co-captains Samuel Asati and George Ooro have been named in KCB Rugby’s squad for the Kenya Cup semi-final clash against Nondescripts RFC at KCB Sports Club on Saturday, with kickoff set for 3:00 p.m.

Festus Shiasi also starts, while Vincent Onyala has been named among the replacements. Asati will don the number nine jersey at scrum-half, with Brian Wahinya taking up the fly-half role.

In midfield, skipper Bob Muhati starts at inside centre, partnering Richel Wangila at outside centre.

The back three features Shiasi on the left wing, Mike Wekesa on the right, and Isaac Njoroge at fullback.

In the forwards, Ooro and Elvis Olukusi start as flankers, with Sheldon Kahi packing down at number eight.

The second row sees Emmanuel Silungi partner John Aswani as KCB continue to adjust following the absence of Andycole Omolo.

Up front, Nick Okullo, Fidel Maina, and Wilhite Mususi form the front row.

Wilfred Waswa, Thomas Okidia, Eric Miheso, Brian Munyali, Churchill Otieno, Emmanuel Opondo, and Elvis Namusasi provide impact off the bench.

KCB will be eyeing a return to the final after falling short last season against Menengai Oilers.
