Menengai Oilers have named their starting XV for this weekend’s highly anticipated Nakuru Derby against Nakuru RFC at the Ask Showground, making several adjustments from their last outing against Strathmore.

The front row remains largely unchanged with Destrious Ifedha at loosehead prop and Vincent Mwikhali at tighthead. Celestine Mboi comes in at hooker, replacing Fortune Aturo who starts on the bench.

Ibrahim Ayoo retains the captaincy in the second row, partnering Charles Osgood, a new inclusion in the starting lineup filling Samuel Were’s void. The back row sees Were maintain his blindside role, while Amos Obae continues as co-captain on openside. Chrispine Shitundo completes the trio at number eight, Jadah Abdon has dropped to the bench.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

At scrum-half, Collins Okoth comes in for Clarkson Keegan, while Samuel Mwaura holds onto fly-half duties.  The backline features Samuel Ovwamu, and former Nakuru RFC man Phillip Okeyo forming the midfield combination.

Beldad Ogeta, Timothy Omela and Abutwalib Wesonga occupy the wings. Elkeans Musonye is part of the bench replacements including Fortune Aturo, Byrone Cornel, Victor Were, Jadah Abdon, Andrew Odero, Brian Achacha, and Alvin Khavoli.
