1st start for captain Sorano and Lusisa as KCB Rugby rotate for Quins match

KCB Rugby have named their starting XV for the upcoming Kenya Cup clash against Kenya Harlequin set for KCB Sports Club, making a few strategic adjustments from last weekend’s match against Nakuru RFC.

Oscar Simiyu takes over the captaincy after becoming fully fit to start after a long term injury while anchoring the front row, signaling leadership and experience upfront.

The front row sees Simiyu at loosehead prop, supported by Fidel Maina at hooker and Wilhite Mususi at tighthead prop, providing a strong foundation in the scrum. In the second row, John Aswani and Andycole Omollo continue to partner

KCB’s back row has Winston Macharia at blindside flanker, Joseph Wanjala at openside, and Bramwel Kilwake at number eight as Felix Ojow paves the way.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

At half-back, Emmanuel Opondo comes in at scrum-half pushing out, while Brian Wahinya starts at fly-half as Levy Amunga paves the way.  The backline also Mike Wekesa on the left wing, Tyson Maina as inside centre and Mike Kimwele coming in at outside center as  Bob Muhati moves to the bench. Branton Lusisa gets his first start the right wing.

Elvis Namusasi takes the fullback role.  The replacements bench features Wilfred Waswa, Nick Okullo, Dennis Waithaka, Emmanuel Silungi, Clyde Kimaya, Jenkins Kiptuto, Bob Muhati, and Levy Amunga,

KCB rugby will be eyeing another big win to keep tabs with Kabras RFC and Menengai Oilers.
