Best performers at the Driftwood 7s, held at Mombasa Sports Club, were feted following the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday.
Kenya Harlequin playmaker Lucky Dewald was named Player of the Final after an outstanding performance, which included setting up the winger Brian Ratilla for the winning try.
2nd for Dewald at Driftwood 7s
This is the second time Dewald has received this award, having also been named MVP and Player of the Final at the Kakamega Ingo 7s, where Quins staged a comeback to beat KCB.
Dewald received Ksh 10,000 courtesy of Tujiamini from sponsors SportPesa.

Kenya 7s flyer Patrick Odongo claimed the Impact Player award, breaking Dennis Abukuse’s two-tournament winning streak in this category. Abukuse missed tournament due to injury.
Odongo was also the tournament’s top scorer with six tries, while Blak Blad’s Victor Wakhulinga was the top points scorer with 33 points.
Mombasa RFC’s Hillary Munga was recognized as the Most Promising Player of the tournament.
Driftwood Div II
In Division 2, Edmond Iningu of Kabarak was named Player of the Final after helping his side break their four-tournament final loss streak.
Brian Onyancha from NYS Spades was the Division 2 top try scorer and points scorer.
Kenya Harlequin pocketed Ksh 100,000 for winning the tournament, while KCB Rugby received Ksh 50,000, and Blak Blad earned Ksh 25,000.
