The Rugby Super Series kicked off with a strong start, with the Lions and Cheetahs both securing victories on the opening day.

Lions flyhalf Elvis Namusasi tops the points leaderboard with a total of nine points, thanks to his three successful conversions and a penalty kick in the Lions’ commanding 29-7 win against the Rhinos.

Following closely in second place is Cheetahs’ Quinto Ongo, who managed eight points through two successful penalty kicks and a conversion in their 18-5 victory over the Buffaloes. His precision with the boot played a crucial role in the Cheetahs’ win.

The Cheetahs’ duo of Celestine Mboi and Clinton Juma are tied for third and fourth place, each scoring five points from their respective tries against the Buffaloes. Their efforts on the field helped to secure the Cheetahs’ opening day victory.
