Holders Butula beat All Saints to top KSSSA National 15s Pool A, Kisii bow out

KSSSA National 15s title holders Butula Boys topped their Pool A following a 12-9  win against All Saints in the final Pool match played at Machakos Boys on Thursday.

Heading to this match Butula had picked a win a draw on day one and had whipped St Patrick’s Iten to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

Their opponents All Saints had already qualified for semi after back-to-back wins in their openers.

Butula lead

Butula needed points from this match and went to the break leading by a point after landing a converted try. Their opponents got on the scoresheet with two three pointers.

In the second half, All Saints took lead via another three pointer before Butula fought back to score try that saw them pick four points.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

The wins saw them beat All Saints for second year in a ros after 2023 final win. Butula have 11 points in the pool while All Saints settled for second place with 10 points after a losing bonus.

Kisii School beat St Patrick’s Iten 12-0 to pick the first win but they have been eliminated from the competition after seven points.
