Makueni RFC triumphed over KCA University with a final score of 23-15 in the Nairobi Nationwide third playoffs, held at KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka.

The match commenced with Makueni RFC scoring three all converted by their fullback, Joseph Kilonzo, taking the score to 9-5 since KCA’s number 10, Mbeki, had scored an unconverted try.

In the second half, KCA University took an early lead with a successful conversion by Brandy Olum after Mbaraka’s try.

However, after a 10-minute struggle, Makueni RFC conceded a penalty, which KCA’s Joseph Andewa took advantage of, increasing their lead to 15-9.

Makueni responded with two consecutive penalty conversions by Joseph Kilonzo to level the score.

Rian Odhiambo, who was on Makueni’s bench, scored a try, increasing their lead to 20 points, making it impossible for KCA University to make a comeback.

Finally, Makueni’s strong and experienced fullback, Joseph Kilonzo, sealed the win with a final score of 23.
