Daystar Falcons book KRU Championship semi-finals ticket

Daystar Falcons have proceeded to the KRU Championship semi finals after beating JKUAT Cougars to a 24-07 win.

Falcons, displaying dominance, shed the first blood after John Oliele went for a drop goal in the first minutes of the game to change the scores 03-00.

As the game progressed, JKUAT Cougars found consolation scoring the first try of the game courtesy of Davis Masiga’s cheap over which favored him as he went for the try to change the board 07-03.

Daystar in bid to protect their home pride and making their fight worthwhile, managed a try by Elvis Sande which was successfully converted to boost their lead 10-07 before the halftime whistle.

In the second half, the Cougars, struggling to get back in the game, conceded penalties which stretched the Falcons lead to 16-07 after Eddy Wambugu managed two penalty kicks.

In the dying minutes of the game, the Falcons pressed the Cougars in their territory before they managed a clearing kick, Arnold Agonda went for a charge down which favored his play as he crossed the white wash to raise the scores 21-07.

The falcons managed another penalty which saw them boost their score 24-07 courtesy of Eddy Wambungu’s golden leg as they head to the changing room after the full-time whistle.

They face South Coast Pirates at the Coast.
