Ogeta, Okoth back for Menengai Oilers ahead of Blak Blad playoff

Menengai Oilers head coach Gibson Weru has named his side that will be taking on Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad at the Nakuru Showground on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

In the squad, Weru has brought back their leading scorer Beldad Ogeta in the starting squad as Kenya 7s international John Okoth is named on the bench. He has effected seven changes to his squad.

In the front row, we see Celestine Mboi retain his place as the hooker being joined by Francis Atiti and Vincent Mwikhali as the props. Mwikhali returns to the starting squad after being benched last weekend.

Captain Ibrahim Ayoo and Clinton Odhiambo will form the second-row pairing with Wallace Onyango paving the way.

Elkeans Musonye leads the back row at number eight being assisted by Jadah Abdon as the blind side flanker and Chrispine Shitundo on the open side flank. Nelson Makokha and Samuel Were have stepped out.

Samson Onsomu starts at scrumhalf with Abutwalib Wesonga returning as fly-half while Tony Oketch drops out.

Harold Ojango is also back to partner with Tyson Maina as inside and outside centres respectively. Johnstone Mung’au will not be in action for the Kenya Cup side.

In the back three, Davis Nyaundi leads as the full back with Ogeta being on the left wing and Kelvin Chebet on the right wing.

Ogeta is back after missing out on several matchdays.  Oilers are keen to reach the semis for the fourth consecutive semis.
