Challenger series Women’s Standings after Montevideo

The world rugby HSBC sevens challenger 2024 women’s category second round happened this weekend in Montevideo, Uruguay from 8-10 March 2024 with China’s Women emerging victorious.

The victory means China lead the women’s standings with 40 points six ahead of Argentina who sit second with 34 points in their name.

Belgium beat Uganda 29-12 in the third-place play-off thus are third with 28 points and are level on points with Uganda who are at the fourth position.

Kenya find themselves at the fifth position with 24 points, the Lionesses who were beaten finalists in the Dubai opener finished a disappointing eighth in Montevideo.

Poland are sixth with 22 points after edging out Thailand 28-17 in the fifth-place play-off while Thailand are seventh with 18 points.

Hong Kong China beat Kenya 27-22 in the seventh place play-offs and occupy the eighth position with 11 points, Czechia are 9th with 9 points whereas Paraguay have the sixth position.

Papua New Guinea and Mexico are bottom-placed with five and three points respectively.
