Kenya Cup standing after match day 11

The Kenya Cup regular season came to an end on Saturday with the majority of the sides concluding their  matches 

For the sixth season in a row, Kabras RFC have finished top of the log earning the right to host the final should they keep their 100 percent record in the semi-finals.  The  Sugarmen won all their 11 matches this season, losing just one bonus point.

Carlos Katywa’s coached side has not lost since February 2022 and managed 54 points out of the possible 55. This season they ended the campaign as the best defensive and offensive side with a point differential of 559 points.

KCB Rugby settled for the second spot once again with this being the sixth season they are finishing second.  KCB have picked 45 points after losing two matches in the campaign.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Menengai Oilers will once again settle for third place after winning nine matches out of the 11 matches played this season. The Oilmen have 42 points after the 11 round.

Kenya Harlequin have settled for the fourth place for the second season in a row. This season they collected 33 points.

Nondies have had an impressive run to the final days of the season winning four matches in a row. The Rangers have collected 31 points and have sealed a place in the playoff having returned to the top tier at the start of the season.

Kenyatta University Blak Blad with a game in hand are sixth with 24 points and are tied with Nakuru RFC who are seventh on the log with 24 points and Mwamba RFC.

Varsity side Strathmore Leos are ninth with 20 points having bagged just four wins this season.

Kisumu RFC have escaped relegation after winning their match day 11 fixture against the Leos to garner 12 points. they have booked a place in the 2024/25 season. They have a chance to add more point to their tally when they face Blak Blad in a rematch.

Catholic Monks have joined Homeboyz Rugby on the list of teams dropping back to the KRU Championship league with 7 and -2 points.
