As we approach match day 10, the Kenya Cup standings have begun to solidify, but there’s still plenty to play for in the final two matches of the season.

The upcoming games promise to be intense as teams vie for crucial points in the regular season.

Kenya Cup Champs in KU

Blak Blad, hosting league leaders Kabras RFC, are set to face off at KU Grounds for the first time since 2020, reminiscent of their last encounter there which was marred by fan trouble.

Kabras emerged victorious then with a narrow 15-13 win. Now, Kabras, already qualified for the semis will aim to clinch an away victory to bolster their chances of hosting the final once again.

In another highly anticipated match, third-placed Menengai Oilers will host second-placed KCB. This fixture has historically been thrilling, and both teams are eager to put on a show.

While KCB have secured a home semi, they aim to secure maximum points to set up a final day showdown against Kabras RFC.

Meanwhile, Kisumu Polytechnic will be the venue for Kisumu’s clash against Kenya Harlequin. Both teams are coming off back to back defeats and are determined to bounce back. Quins will look to secure a win to bolster their position above Oilers.

Nakuru Athletic Club will witness a showdown between Nakuru RFC and Nondies. Both teams are in good form, having secured victories, and are eyeing a playoff spot. A win here will be crucial for either side’s playoff aspirations.

Homeboyz Kenya Cup fate

Over at RFUEA Grounds, Mwamba will take on bottom-placed Homeboyz. The outcome of this match will determine Homeboyz’s fate in the league.
