KRU Championship standings after week 9

In the KRU Championship, MMUST Rugby continue to lead the pack after matchday nine action.

Having been relegated from the top tier, MMUST Rugby remain determined to secure promotion, winning seven of their first eight matches in the second tier.

With 34 points collected from a possible 40 in the 2023/24 season so far, they maintain their top position, propelled by a superior point differential.

Following closely behind are Daystar Falcons, who, for the second consecutive season in the second tier, are enjoying a successful campaign.

With seven wins out of eight games, they also sit on 34 points but have a slightly inferior point differential to MMUST.

South Coast Pirates are also in contention for a home semi-final, having secured 31 points from seven victories out of eight matches played this season.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Impala hold 23 points in the competition after eight rounds, with five wins to their name. Western Bulls have moved to 18 points after securing their fourth win of the season.

JKUAT Cougars follow with 14 points, while both Mombasa RFC and USIU Martial have accumulated 12 points each.

UoE Trojans have secured 11 points, Kabarak University 10 points, while Mean Machines are currently facing relegation threat with only eight points.
