Kenya Rugby Union advertises Kenya U20 coaching role

The Kenya Rugby Union has announced an opening for the position of coach for the Kenya U20 side, Chipu.

Applicants must possess a minimum of four years of coaching experience for a Club or School Side, demonstrating a remarkable track record of success.

A crucial requirement is a World Rugby Level 2 coaching certification in either sevens or fifteens rugby, offering a significant advantage.

The primary responsibilities of the coach will include training the Under 20 Squad and managing a performance program to prepare selected players for international competitions as outlined by the KRU.

This involves coordinating and supervising training programs at various intervals based on game strategy and technical approaches, as directed by the Head of the 15s Programme.

The coach is expected to submit the Season Plan and periodic reports to the Head of the 15s Programme. Moreover, they should demonstrate the ability to balance team needs and objectives with the administrative goals of the Kenya Rugby Union.

All applications must be submitted by January 17, 2024, and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Rugby Union at ceo@kru.co.ke.

Interested individuals are required to attach all World Rugby Certifications and provide a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae outlining their coaching philosophy.
