Omiyo, Bunyasi start for Nakuru RFC against Strathmore Leos

Nakuru Rugby Club have announced their 23-man squad for the Kenya Cup opener against Strathmore on 2nd December 2023 at 3 pm at the NAC Grounds.

The opening match against Strathmore will be led by Amos Obae with assistant Brian Njuguna.

Habakuk Auma will play as the fullback, alongside left-winger Gramwel Bunyasi and right-winger Javan Otieno.

Nakuru’s centre comprises Brian Njuguna, and Paul Lusesi while James Macharia is at scrum-half and Philip Okeyo at fly-half.

Emmanuel Mboya will start as a hooker connecting loosehead prop Kennedy Otieno and tighthead Wilfred Ochieng.

Nakuru’s second row comprises locks Barry Opondo and Dan Githanga. In the back three, blindside flanker Caleb Malemo joins openside and captain Amos Obae while Kevin Omiyo is at number eight.

Nakuru’s replacements are Jamleck Karani, Brian Kimani, Ericson Kiai, Edwins Makovi, Brian Wekhula, Felix Okoth, Victor Matiko, and Christant Ojwang.
