Kenya 7s kept their Safari 7s title defence hopes alive after seeing off a stubborn Germany with a 19-5 win to reach the final set for RFUEA grounds.

This was a repeat of the 2022 final and Shujaa went to the match unbeaten while Germany had suffered one loss. Shujaa stood tall to book a date with Samurai in the final.

The cagey affair produced only one try in the first half with Germany scoring in the final minute for a 5-0. Shujaa attempted to equalize just before halftime but Patrick Odongo couldn’t gather a kick by Samuel Asati.

Brian Mutugi came off the bench and raced on for the try that put the game beyond Germany. Kevin Wekesa’s try did not count but the job was done.
