The Sydney 7s Cup quarterfinal line-up is complete ahead of the matches scheduled for second session set for Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
The ninth place quarters, on the other hand will played on Sunday morning at the same venue before paving way for the semis.
Cup quarters pairings
Samoa topped Pool C with maximum points and return to the cup quarters where they will tackle World 7s Series leaders New Zealand. New Zealand finished second in Pool B picking seven points after suffering one defeat in the group stage.
Hosts Australia emerged top in Pool A to book a place in the quarters and they will entertain France in the Cup quarters.
Pool B winners South Africa have been paired against Ireland while Pool D winners Fiji will play against Great Britain.
Ninth place pairings
After finishing third in Pool B, Kenya 7s have booked a date against Spain in the ninth place quarterfinal playoffs scheduled for 2:16 am on Sunday 29 January morning.
USA who have had back to back to third place finishes find themselves out of the Cup quarters and they will face off with Japan in the first ninth place quarters.
