Robinson Kiplangat was named the referee of the season in the Rift Valley Region Referee’s society awards held on Saturday in Nakuru.
The referee also won the Sevens referee of the season and the Male referee of the season award in the ceremony.
15s referee of the season
Victor Oduor who officiated in the 2023 African Rugby World Cup qualifiers was awarded as the 15s referee of the season.
Raynold Kenneth Kaunda was the breakthrough referee of the season. Noreen Liyosi bagged the referee of the season in the female category as Beril Akinyi got the overall referee of the season award.
The Honorary awards went to Lameck Ongati, Ngetich David, and Oduor Ngoche.

The event was organised to fete outstanding referees in the 2021/22 rugby season. Categories will include -Male and female referee of the season, and referee of the year in both the 15s and 7s categories.
