The race for the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Rugby Sevens titles has entered the knockout stage, with the boys’ and girls’ Cup quarter-final line-ups confirmed following the conclusion of the pool matches on Tuesday.

In the boys’ competition, former champions Upper Hill will take on Kirangari in what promises to be a thrilling encounter after both sides impressed during the preliminary rounds. Cardinal Otunga, who completed an unbeaten run in the pools, will face Kwale High as they continue their quest for the national crown.

Western Region champions Butula, another unbeaten side in the group stage, will battle defending champions Laiser Hill in arguably the standout quarter-final clash of the day. Meanwhile, St. Anthony’s will square off against Bokoli in the remaining last-eight fixture as both teams chase a place in the semi-finals.

The girls’ competition has also produced mouthwatering fixtures, with pool winners Kinale set to face Itigo in the quarter-finals. Mbakalo will take on Nyagichenche, while St. Joseph’s will meet Kimobo in another highly anticipated clash.

The final girls’ quarter-final will pit St. Teresa against Mbagathi Girls, with both schools aiming to keep their title ambitions alive and book places in the last four.
