KSSSA National Rugby 7s semi-final line up complete

The battle for the 2026 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Rugby 7s titles reaches its climax on Wednesday, August 5, with the semi-finals and finals set to be played at M-PESA Academy in Kiambu County.

After three days of intense pool action, the remaining eight boys’ and girls’ teams will be looking to finish their campaigns on a high, with four Cup semi-final fixtures promising thrilling contests.

Kinale will face Mbakalo in the opening Cup semi-final at 10:40 a.m. before Upper Hill renew their quest for national glory against Cardinal Otunga in the second semi-final at 11:00 a.m.

The third semi-final will see Kimobo take on St. Teresa at 11:20 a.m., while Western Region rivals Bokoli and Butula will square off in what is expected to be one of the day’s most anticipated encounters at 11:40 a.m.

Before the Cup semi-finals, teams that missed out on the title race will compete in the ranking matches beginning at 8:00 a.m. Njabini face All Saints Embu, Sigoti take on Gituamba, Kamuiru meet Tononoka, and Karen C play Karima.

The remaining ranking fixtures will see Itigo battle Nyagichenche, Kirangari take on Kwale High, St. Joseph’s face Mbagathi Girls, while St. Anthony’s conclude the ranking phase against Laiser Hill.

Following the semi-finals, attention will shift to the placement matches before the tournament culminates in the championship deciders. The girls’ third-place play-off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., followed by the boys’ third-place match at 1:00 p.m.

The girls’ final will kick off at 1:30 p.m., with the boys’ final bringing the curtains down on the national championship at 2:00 p.m.

With national honours at stake, Wednesday promises a thrilling finale as Kenya’s top secondary school rugby sevens teams battle for KSSSA glory in Kiambu.
