The 2026 National 7s Circuit gets underway this weekend with the Prinsloo 7s at the Nakuru Athletics Club, where Kenya’s top men’s and women’s rugby teams will battle for the first silverware of the season.
A packed schedule of 30 matches has been lined up for Saturday, with the opening fixture kicking off at 8:00 a.m. as Kenya Harlequin FC take on Embu RFC.
The action will continue throughout the day at 20-minute intervals before concluding with the final women’s pool match at 5:40 p.m.
Defending Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar RFC, KCB Rugby, Menengai Oilers, Kenya Harlequin FC, Strathmore Leos, Nakuru RFC, Nondescripts RFC, Mwamba RFC, Daystar Falcons, MMUST, Impala RFC, Kisumu RFC, Embu RFC, KU Blakblad, and NYS Spades are among the men’s teams set to feature in the tournament opener.

The women’s competition also promises exciting encounters, with Impala Roans, Jackals Women, Mwamba RFC, and NYS Ladies among the teams aiming to make an early statement in the circuit.
In the women’s category, Impala Roans take on Jackals Women in the first women’s match before Mwamba RFC lock horns with NYS Ladies.
The Prinsloo 7s marks the beginning of what is expected to be a fiercely contested National 7s Circuit, with clubs eager to collect valuable series points in their quest for the overall title.
