Asuman Mugerwa, Andrew Odhiambo in Uganda All Stars squad for Irish Black rock match

Uganda All Stars squad has been named ahead of their much-anticipated clash against Irish Blackrock set for Saturday, 16 August 2025 at the Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

The squad will be captained by former Uganda Cranes skipper Michael Wokorach, with experienced playmaker Ivan Magomu and Kabras Sugar prop Asuman Mugerwa serving as his deputies.

Magomu and Mugerwa, who were not involved in the recently concluded Rugby Africa Cup, will be eager to make a mark in this international friendly.

Former Western Bulls and Emerging Uganda 7s back rower Andrew Odhiambo has been named in the squad. He is joined by Europe-based fullback Philip Wokorach, as well as Charles Uhuru, Aaron Ofoywroth, Liam Walker, Joseph Aredo, Allan Omoding, and Collins Kimbowa among others.

The visiting Irish side, Blackrock RFC, is a Dublin-based club founded in 1882 with a rich rugby heritage. During their stay in Uganda, the team will not only take part in the match but will also engage in community outreach, cultural exchange, and tourism activities.

The international fixture is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM and promises to offer fans an exciting rugby spectacle
