Kisumu RFC have ushered in a new leadership team following its Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Dr. Gabriel Ouma has been elected as the new Chairman of the club, taking over the reins after serving as Vice Chairman. Ouma is an Oncologist based in Kisumu.
Stepping into the Vice Chairman position is Benson Maina. The Treasurer role has been filled by Dr. Paul Ogolla. Annie Wanjiru takes up the position of Organizing Secretary.
Annie is a Human Resources consultant and the founder of Ani Ventures, an events company based in Kisumu.

Robert Wechesi, an IT consultant in Kisumu, has been appointed as the Honorary Secretary.
The new leadership team is set to guide Kisumu RFC into a new chapter as the club continues to cement its place in Kenya’s top-tier rugby league.
The Brave Hearts have successfully maintained top flight status for two consecutive seasons, with the 2024/25 campaign ending in dramatic fashion after a 17-14 win over Nondies on the final day and the new management will be targeting to lead the side to the playoffs.
Looking ahead, Kisumu RFC will also play host to the prestigious Dala 7s tournament in September 2025—an event that promises to draw regional attention and solidify the club’s presence in the national rugby scene.
