The Great Rift 10s will enter the knockout stage on Sunday with top contenders Kabras RFC, Menengai Oilers, Nakuru RFC, and Strathmore Leos still in the running at Nakuru Athletic Club.
In the first Cup quarterfinal, 2019 champions Menengai Oilers will face USIU Martials. The Oilers enjoyed a 100% win record on day one, registering convincing victories over Egerton Wasps and Ruaka Eagles, and edging last year’s finalists Strathmore Leos to top their pool.
Great Rift 10s hosts
Hosts Nakuru RFC will square off against Catholic Monks in the second quarterfinal after also emerging top of their pool with an unbeaten run on day one.
The third quarterfinal will be a varsity derby featuring last year’s finalists Strathmore Leos, who will lock horns with KU Blak Blad in what promises to be a fiercely contested clash.

Defending champions Kabras RFC are set to take on Molo RFC in the final quarterfinal as they continue their quest to retain the title. Kabras, like the other pool toppers, were flawless on day one.
Now in its 32nd edition, the Great Rift 10s made a return to the calendar in 2023 and has steadily regained traction. This marks the second consecutive year that 12 teams are participating in the tournament
