The excitement of the 2026 Uganda Rugby 7s Series continues this weekend as attention turns to the Rujumba 7s, where some of Uganda’s top men’s and women’s rugby clubs will battle for crucial series points.

The men’s tournament has been divided into three competitive pools, with every team aiming to secure a place in the knockout rounds.

Pool A promises exciting encounters, with Walukuba Barbarians hoping to stamp their authority against determined opponents.

They face Victoria Sharks, Rhinos and Rams RFC all expected to fight hard for a place in the quarter-finals.

Pool B has Kobs, Buffaloes, Mongers, and Mbale Elephants.

Pool C features a blockbuster rivalry between Black Pirates and Heathens, two clubs that have consistently challenged for major honours in Ugandan rugby. Kampani Eagles and Hippos RFC will also be eager to cause upsets and book their place in the knockout stages.

The women’s tournament is equally competitive, with eight teams split into two pools.

Pool A brings together Nile Rapids who will be aiming for a strong start, while Avengers, She Wolves, and Eagles all have the quality to challenge for a semi-final place.

Pool B is expected to produce some of the tournament’s most exciting matches. Black Pearls, one of Uganda’s leading women’s rugby clubs, will be looking to continue their impressive form, but Thunderbirds, Ewes, and Wakiso Titans are all capable of producing strong performances.
