Zetech Oaks are the 2026 Prinsloo 7s Division II champions after producing a commanding performance to defeat Kabarak University 41-0 in the final played at Nakuru Athletics Club.
The convincing victory earns the Oaks promotion to the top tier of the National 7s Circuit, with the side set to feature in next weekend’s Dala 7s where they will battle the country’s elite teams.
The triumph also comes just days after head coach Ramseyfield Matekwa successfully attained his World Rugby Level Two coaching certificate in the 15s game, adding another milestone to an impressive week for the club.
Zetech made their intentions clear from the opening minutes as Anderson Oduor sliced through the Kabarak defence before racing away to score the opening try for a 5-0 lead.
The Oaks soon doubled their advantage after another incisive attacking move resulted in a converted try to make it 12-0.

They added a third unconverted try before the interval to take a comfortable 17-0 lead into halftime.
Any hopes of a Kabarak comeback were extinguished after the break as Zetech raised the intensity. The newly crowned champions ran in four more tries in a dominant second-half display, converting two of them to complete an emphatic 41-0 victory.
The result caps off an outstanding weekend for Zetech Oaks, who now head to Kisumu for the Dala 7s full of confidence as they prepare to test themselves against the National 7s Circuit’s established Division I sides.
