The battle for the 2026 Prinsloo 7s title intensifies on Sunday as the eight remaining teams square off in what promises to be a thrilling day of knockout rugby at Nakuru Athletics Club.
Following an action-packed opening day that saw Kabras RFC, MMUST Rugby, KCB Rugby and KU Blak Blad finish unbeaten in the pool stages, attention now shifts to the Cup quarter-finals, where there will be no second chances.
Kabras RFC will open the Cup quarter-final action against Daystar Falcons at 10:40 am. The Sugarmen topped their pool after edging Kenya Harlequin 12-10.
Daystar side booked their place in the last eight after a crucial draw with Strathmore Leos.
The second quarter-final at 11:00 am pits tournament KU Blak Blad against Nondescripts RFC. Blak Blad have been one of the stories of the tournament after winning all three pool matches, including an impressive victory over Menengai Oilers, while Nondies recovered from their opening defeat to qualify for the knockout stages.
Arguably the match of the round comes at 11:20 am when unbeaten MMUST Rugby take on Kenya Harlequin.

MMUST stunned many with victories over Strathmore Leos, Daystar and Kisumu RFC to top their pool, while Quins advanced despite falling narrowly to Kabras in their final pool match.
The final Cup quarter-final, scheduled for 11:40 am, will see KCB Rugby face hosts Nakuru RFC. The Bankers progressed with a perfect record but are expected to face a stern test against a Nakuru side buoyed by home support after sealing qualification with a derby victory over Menengai Oilers.
Before the Cup knockout action begins, teams that missed out on the main competition will battle for Challenge Trophy honours.
Mwamba RFC take on Kisumu RFC at 9:20 am, followed by Menengai Oilers against NYS Spades at 9:40 am. Strathmore Leos will face Embu RFC at 10:00 am, while Catholic Monks meet Impala RFC at 10:20 am.
With a place in the semi-finals at stake and the race for the first title of the 2026 National Sevens Circuit entering its decisive stage, fans can expect a day of high-intensity rugby as the Road to the Safari Sevens continues in Nakuru.
