Kabras RFC once again proved their dominance by completing an Enterprise Cup six-peat after defeating Uganda champions Black Pirates 25–12 at the RFUEA Grounds.

It marked the fourth consecutive season in which the Sugarmen have completed a double, underlining their sustained supremacy in Kenyan rugby. Kabras have now lifted the Enterprise Cup in 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Unbeaten at the RFUEA Grounds in the post-COVID era, Kabras made a dream start. A slick passage of play inside the opening five minutes saw Kenyan international Derrick Ashihundu dive over in the right corner for the opening try. Ntabeni Dukisa was unable to add the extras.

Kabras immediately applied pressure, pinning the visitors deep in their own half and disrupting several Black Pirates lineouts. The Ugandan side, however, became the first to enter Kabras territory in the 13th minute.

They nearly struck when William Nkore charged down Walter Okoth’s kick, but the ball went dead, allowing Kabras to escape unscathed.

Pirates eventually responded in the scrum, with Alex Aturinda peeling off the base to dive over for a try, leveling the scores at 5–5. Nkore added the conversion to give Pirates a 7–5 lead.

The Sugarmen were briefly tested but regained control, striking through their trademark rolling maul as veteran George Nyambua powered over for the first of his tries. The conversion was missed, leaving Kabras ahead 10–7.

Moments later, Kabras struck again in similar fashion. Nyambua completed his brace off another dominant maul, extending the lead to 15–7 as the kicking woes continued.

In the second half, Kabras started strongly. A well-weighted cross-kick from Dukisa found Patrick Sabatia, who outpaced his marker to race in for a try. Eric Cantona was unable to convert.

In the 55th minute, quick thinking from Walter Okoth released Ashihundu, who spotted a gap and showcased his pace to sprint clear for his second try, pushing the score to 25–7. The conversion again went astray.

Kabras were reduced to 14 men in the 66th minute after Hillary Odhiambo was shown a yellow card, and Black Pirates capitalised through Arnold Karuhanga, who finished in the corner following sustained pressure from a scrum platform.

Despite a tense final 11 minutes, Kabras held firm defensively to close out the match and retain their Enterprise Cup crown in style.
