Samuel Ovwamu returns to the matchday squad as Menengai Oilers prepare to face Ugandan side Buffaloes in an Enterprise Cup clash set for Saturday at the ASK Showgrounds in Nakuru, with kick-off slated for 3:00 p.m.

The centre has been named in the starting XV, marking a timely boost for the Oilers as they look to sharpen their attacking edge in the knockout fixture. Ovwamu’s inclusion adds physicality to the backline, offering an additional threat alongside speedster Brian Achacha and Alvin Khavoli.

Samuel Mwaura will captain the side from fly-half, with Amos Obae providing leadership support from the back row. Up front, the Oilers pack sees Byrone Cornel earn a start alongside Fortune Aturo, and Destrious Ifedha to anchor the front row, while Wallace Onyango and Charles Osgood partner in the second row. Jadah Abdon and Collins Kabayo complete the loose trio alongside Obae.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

In the backs, Clarkson Keegan starts at scrum-half, linking up with Mwaura to steer play, while Beldad Ogeta slots on the left wing. Khavoli, and Abutwalib Wesonga complete a back three designed to exploit space and finish opportunities.

The bench provides depth and impact, with Emmanuel Mulindo, Victor Were, and Vincent Mwikhali covering the forwards, while Nelson Makokha, Chrispine Shitundo, Andrew Odero, Philip Okeyo, and Lucky Onyango offer options in the backs.
